Mike Campese has come full circle from growing up in the Capital region. Graduating from Shaker High School Mike moved to Hollywood, Ca and attended GIT where he studied with the likes of Paul Gilbert and graduated with honors. Upon his return to the area Mike proceeded to play in many bands including the infamous Mister Strange.

Mike has just released his fourth solo album, The New. In addition to headlining shows Mike continues to play as a support act for guitar legends such as Yngwie Malmsteen, Michael Shenker, Rik Emmett, Vinnie Moore and Alex Skolnick, that gig helping Mike to secure a spot as lead guitarist with Trans-Siberian Orchestra.

Mike currently has lots of irons in the fire including continuing studies with legendary Jazz guitarist Stanley Jordan, writing a column for Guitar Player magazine and teaching guitar to some 70 students.

Some of the albums that Mike has played on have been Mister Strange‘s All This Time and Hey The World, Suba Cumba‘s Africa Wise Up and former David Lee Roth guitarist Jason Becker’s Tribute CD – Warmth in The Wilderness appearing alongside of some of rocks most talented musicians including Jeff Watson, Marty Friedman, Matt Bissonette and Joe Lynn Turner.
